Marija Temo and Ulrika Frank (flamenco dancer) collaborate in a workshop teaching tour entitled,

"Solving the Flamenco Puzzle with Ulrika Frank and Marija Temo"

The focus is on the structure of flamenco dance and song forms in how the dance, guitar, and singing communicate with one another.

The workshop is designed for guitarists, singers, and dancers to work together with the different musical options presented by Marija during the Communication classes and the choreography options that are taught in Ulrika's dance classes.

Marija Temo and Ulrika Frank offer a lecture/presentation for Long Island University as part of the Rockefeller grant, under the direction of Nina Bennahum.

Dancers and Musicians will learn: The structural form of Tangos (the order and components of the dance); the important accents that are to be conveyed; the different types of calls and how to execute them clearly; and how to listen and improvise to one another rhythmically and with melody (falsetas) from the guitar. Goal: To have more command over the Tangos form and feel comfortable participating in a fiesta situation.
