Clinard Dance will share excerpts from their “Flamenco Quartet Project”. The Project maintains the traditional flamenco interplay between singer, guitar and dance but uses unique instrumentation and original composition to find new exponents of the form. Look forward to sharing the work with a great line up of artists including: violinist Steve Gibons, guitarist Marija Temo, percussionist/dancer Jose Moreno and dancer Wendy Clinard. Visit www.clinardance for a full description of the “Flamenco Quartet Project” and for performer’s bios.

Students will have a chance to work with each other live in the class or attend as an observer only to glean a better understanding of how the parts (singing, dance and guitar) make a whole in flamenco. Students will have the opportunity to share their workshop studies in the Aug 8th performance.
After several weeks of giving flamenco guitar lessons at the Boys and Girls Club 81st, I will present my Flamenco Amazement program and have some of the students join me in the presentation. What a wonderful feeling to provide guitar lessons to these children of the inner city schools.
Thank you Meaghan Heinrich, Director, Conservatory Connections, Wisconsin Conservatory of music for giving me the opportunity to share with them.
