Chicago’s Flamenco Quartet Project will be performing at Space in Evanston on Monday, March 9. We are very pleased to welcome the members of the group to the show. My guests are (pictured, left) dancer WENDY CLINARD, (center, top) violinist STEVE GIBONS, (center, below) vocalist/guitarist MARIJA TEMO, and (right) percussionist JOSE MORENO.
The Flamenco Quartet Project seeks to engage with contemporary culture through vibrant performances that honor traditional flamenco and their shared passion for music and dance discovery. Please join us for this special show. To listen, please use the link in this post.
Nighttown is the premiere jazz club in Cleveland, featuring the best musicians from around the country. The ambience is perfect for a tablao, an intimate and traditional performance setting for flamenco. Similar to jazz clubs, in flamenco tablaos, the performers rely on their improvisational skills–the tight-knit members of the group react to one another, riffing, grooving, and creating a dynamic, one-of-a-kind performance!
