M. Temo joins Clinard Flamenco Project in Chicago Flamenco Festival, Evanston, IL 3/14/23

M. Temo invited guest accompanist. Clinard Dance Flamenco Quartet Project returns to Space in conjunction with Instituto Cervantes’ annual Chicago Flamenco Festival. Clinard’s project this past year was dedicated to connecting the flamenco perspective to local artists from jazz, blues, and hip-hop backgrounds. This year artists featured are: Blues artist, Billy Branch; Jazz vocalist, Joan Collaso; Rap and Spoken word, King Moosa, Brian Harrington; Vocalist, Patty Ortega; Flamenco Guitarist, Marija Temo; Flamenco Singer, Jose Diaz Cachito; Flamenco Caja and percussionist, Diego Alvarez: Flamenco Dance, Wendy Clinard.

The Ensemble Espanol Youth Company comes to Milwaukee, WI for a flamenco coaching on dance, guitar, and singing interaction with Marija Temo. They will learn a flamenco form incorporating all disciplines.

Festival Schedule
The schedule will be as follows:
9:00-11:00 (CST) AM Competition
11:00-12:00 Guitar Festival Orchestra Rehearsal. This includes all competitors.
12:00-1:00 Lunch and Learn – guitarist Sara d’Ippolito “Women in the world of classical guitar”
1:00-3:00 Masterclasses: Gohar Vardanyan, Leonela Alejandro, Chandler Dillingham, Kevin Loh
3:15-4:45 PM Workshops: #1 Guitar Strategies – Chandler Dillingham and #2 Flamenco Guitar – Marija Temo
7:00 PM Concert and Award Ceremony in person at the Latino Arts Auditorium in the same building.
Concert will include the Guitar Festival Orchestra, the First Place Winners of each category, our guest artists: Gohar Vardanyan and Leonela Alejandro
