Thank you Mayra Diaz, Assistant Principal , , for organizing my coming, for your enthusiasm, and wanting to give students the opportunity to see and learn about flamenco.
It is wonderful to return to DC! This concert will be extra special for me. I was a MD resident for 24 years and during 10 of those years, I was an active performer at La Taberna del Alabardero accompanying the late flamenco singer, Manolo Leiva. Together we presented quality flamenco shows and special performances for Spanish dignitaries and the clientele of La Taberna del Alabardero . I am delighted to return, presenting 2 shows of traditional flamenco guitar and song with flamenco arrangements of South and Latin American, and Pop songs.
Come enjoy the fine dining of La Taberna and experiencing flamenco in this beautiful, intimate setting.
